Trentemøller The Last Resort (2 CD)
Voto:
I see on Myspace Trentemøller, a nice face wrecked by some elvish drug, four tracks, the instrumentals aren't bad, while the ones with vocals don't convince me... not my style (I'm currently into the new Tobin, and Stott who recommended Ghemison).
Jim Jarmusch Dead Man

AHH, I really want to see who will review Ghost Dog!
Mel Gibson The Passion
Voto:
X Pun: the pluralis maiestatis, a fine but treacherous art... either all or nothing, otherwise it’s no fun. :) I won't add anything to the interesting commentary except that I haven't seen the film; Gibson really irritates me. The only thing I appreciate about Gibson is the first Mad Max, everything else, bleah. I've never been able to stand him; he’s a jerk. So, starting off with this prejudice...

... and everything ends up in pies and figs.
Neil Burger The Illusionist (L'illusionista)

Why magicians have come back in style (and also poker, which has nothing to do with this but I wanted to mention it).
Abel Ferrara The Bad Lieutenant (Il Cattivo Tenente)
Voto:
the review instead is disgraceful. Sorry. "Well devised...." oh god! -- Raymond Chandler is right! The most religious film by Ferrara, INFERNO=FORGIVENESS=REDEMPTION! and how can we not mention that it was written by a woman? damn! Zoe Lund! ABEL FERRARA+ZOE LUND! Study, pedal!
Michael Haneke Funny Games
Voto:
Haneke in Hollywood??? I appreciated Il Tempo dei Lupi and Storie from him, but La Pianista... what a heavy brick. This I've never seen. I imagine it's beautifully distressing stuff.
Alberto De Martino Una Magnum Special Per Tony Saitta
Voto:
beautiful Zione, I have a weakness for these cop-and-robber movies :) of course, if I had to watch everything... but how is it possible? music-movies-books, too much stuff, way too much!
Bernardo Bertolucci La Tragedia Di Un Uomo Ridicolo
Voto:
I've never seen it, and I regret that. I wonder if I'll ever have the chance. Certainly, Tognazzi as an "industrial captain" is truly unsettling... An actor is great when you can imagine him even if you haven't seen the film.
