ps: but that song by the Dropkick Murphys (American Irish punk band), that is I'm Shipping Up To Boston, with the accordions and the hardcore vocals, that's spot on. But only for the accordions and the Pogues-like sound.

watched it last night. I don’t know, I saw a bit of parody, subtle but very annoying, as someone rightly said, ā€œScorsese in the scenes that Tarantino does is pathetic.ā€ The same goes for the soundtrack (a total Tarantino-ization!) The Rolling Stones? What do they have to do with it? Comfortably Numb? What the hell does that have to do with it? Anyway: the cast is amazing: Nicholson always the same jerk, Wahlberg a revelation, DiCaprio a confirmation.

"MEN, TAKE A TIP: IF YOU WANT TO IMPRESS A WOMAN, TAKE HER BY THE THROAT, I MEAN LEARN TO COOK." great great advice! I have something to say about the musical choice though :)

x Nofake, I completely agree on Hal's stature, my dear friend (and not just virtual), but I disagree with defining him as the one and absolute (and I bet he wouldn't agree either). I have a question: is your opinion perhaps influenced by the musical genre? Do you read reviews of metal? Or electronic? Or classical? ps: I’d like to point out that there are over 13,000 reviews here. Have you read them all?

Beautiful review, from the very beginning it made me smile, which is no small feat these days :)

Maria, I've always had a bad feeling about these associations. However, if the payment is direct and there's someone keeping an eye on things, then it's a different story. Wishing a good life to your Pedrito! :)

A question, MariE: have you thought about what will happen to Pedro when he grows out of childhood and no longer has the right to your support? What will become of him? I hope so much that he can have every opportunity in the world. But allow me to doubt that it will be the case. You do it with all your heart, I know, and you are admirable. But this thing about distance adoption is a temporary aid, while I believe that having a "godchild" is a lifelong commitment. And having a godchild in Africa or the third world is even more challenging, because the opportunities for redemption there are less than zero, not to mention everything else (diseases, wars, etc)...
