Anyway, it's just my very personal opinion, and I can understand that the approach to music might differ from mine. One thing I'd like to point out: I've already found myself chasing after a record thanks to one of your reviews, buying it or asking for a copy from someone who had it. But then to find out that you yourself consider your reviews useless (and I'll refrain from discussing the copy-paste issue here) is a disappointment. Small, sure, but it takes away a bit of the value from my purchase and the pleasure of listening. We're all very sensitive (and you too, admit it!) to these little "quirks" that are the spice of our musical passion, don't you agree? Cheers, have a good weekend.

But can't you see that you’re responding again with personal attacks? I HAVE THIS RECORD; IT WAS GIFTED TO ME BY PUN MONTHS AGO! :) And then editing the de-reviews is part of my real life, what do you think? It's not a dream! Editors put in REAL energies, REAL time! And you don’t even want to reciprocate by adding the link of the genre! Look, the concept is very down-to-earth: when you send us emails with your requests, we always accommodate you, right? See how simple it is?

But what does changing people have to do with it, you’re so heavy! We're only talking about a simple technical thing! A click to make us at Debaser happy! But do whatever the hell you want, just stop making it personal, for Christ's sake! PUTTING THE MUSIC GENDER DOESN'T TURN YOUR LIFE UPSIDE DOWN! Just a little extra effort, noooooooooooooo?

Yes, Pun speaks for you. This terrible habit of stating universal concepts is irritating. To me and many others, as Hal confirms, de-reviews are more useful than any Google search. If Hal says that an album is good, I trust him and buy it or download it without second thoughts, just like I trust other de-reviewers who over time (years?) have proven to be consistent with their tastes and opinions, very personal judgments that show reliable knowledge and true character. The thing you’ve been advocating for some time, that de-reviews are useless, is... useless, just as much. It seems to me that it's your favorite excuse to throw on the table when you're accused of copy-pasting. Enough already, come on!

"I'm the one who doesn't fill out the form." Well, MariaE, do as you wish, but know that we on the staff appreciate that reviews are not just cataloged under the author's nickname, but also by genre, so that those interested in a certain genre (like a new user, for example) can find all the reviews that talk about it. You're not obligated to do anything, mind you. However, I recommend you think about it, at least when you talk about "sharing."

"And don't tell me that the blame is largely attributable to movies like these, okay?". No, I don't agree. Or, let's do this; let's put in the bag along with this unfortunate soul all those sixty-year-olds walking around with a gun in their pocket because, when they were young, they idolized John Wayne. Or all those idiots who race their cars on Saturday night because they worship Ferrari. And also all those forty-year-olds who get wasted thinking they’re the Andrea Pazienza or the Syd Barrett of the situation... let's put them all in the bag. Look, I'll throw myself in there too.

Well, I didn't say there's anything wrong, heaven forbid, but the definition 'guiding spirit' seemed a bit exaggerated to me, come on, you’re not in the afterlife (just a little touch). Take it as one of my superstitions. As for whether to describe the music or not, well, to each their own. But don’t include the music genre (just one click is enough)... alright.

Look at that, I also have this CD, and by chance it was given to me by a debaseriano, a very appreciated gift. For those interested: musically it's about Buddhist harmonic chants (performed by Lama Gyurme, who is a venerable master of Buddhist music and lives in Normandy at his spiritual center) on an instrumental basis of keyboards and synths (by Jean Philippe Rykiel, already a producer for Vangelis, Youssou N'Dour, Salif Keita, Leonard Cohen, and, by the way, blind since birth). Just to clarify, since theoretically we should be talking about music and instruments here. One more thing: if anyone were to call me a "spirit guide," I'd run away in a heartbeat: Maria, how much responsibility you put on poor Pun! Exaggerated.

A monument! Piazza Maggiore without the Maniglia wouldn't be the same!
