Oh my God, no one... of course you’re not talking about the people present, right? :) a record of such caliber... music, fury, words, sound... scary! Happy and Content, Giro di Vite, immense tracks! Even the previous albums, a real punch to the teeth. The latest one is unfortunately the least successful.

Caterina Valente! We Swiss feel a bit like she’s ours since she lives here... in Northern Europe she is revered like a goddess, as Valerio rightly says, her name is an international synonym for vocal quality just as Mina's is in Italy. She is an incredibly intelligent woman, with an impressive culture, as she demonstrates in German or Swiss talk shows when she speaks about politics or similar topics. A bit of a diva from another time for her "poser" attitude, and somewhat anarchic regarding show business. She resides near Lugano, and her son grew up here; in the '80s he was a DJ at Radio Campione d'Italia and in local nightclubs, he was the legendary DJ Valens (!)... oh yes, Valente and especially her lineage is a piece of my history :))) You always make original proposals, Valerio, which I appreciate.

@travisackle, I was referring more precisely to "Un Violento Weekend Di Terrore" (I made a mistake confusing it with what you're talking about), a Canadian film from the '70s that struck me quite a bit... but there are others from that genre I've seen, for example, Lipstick, a flashy flick from '76: rape of a fashion model and then pedophilia involving her little sister (by the way, these two actresses are the granddaughters of Hemingway, Margot and Mariel). He, the multiple rapist, is the music teacher of the little girl, and the school nuns don't want to believe he's a pedophile, a clear reference to the theme of the Church and pedophilia, etc., etc. I remember when it came out, the two Hemingways were ridiculed by critics (well, as actresses they weren't exactly great)...
@Velluto, I'll reflect on what you're saying, really interesting analysis. @Occulto, thank you, I'll definitely look for Bergman, I'm very curious now.

a great classic of the rape & revenge genre, like The Long Weekend of Terror. There have been others since, but none as heavy as these two. I’ve never seen Bergman's, though. Nice review, interesting comments, although I would have some things to discuss on the rape-woman/whore issue, but let’s leave that aside.

I agree with psycho; at first, they were promising. Today, they're not even that bad, but if they voluntarily throw themselves into the mix with others... Hidden, Oasis represents the "great rebirth" of the English music scene after the dark years imposed by the Thatcher government... Whether we like it or not, that's how it is: for the English, Oasis, regardless of quality, represents a kind of cultural redemption for youth...

a very beautiful review, and a cameo the description of the soundtrack, three sentences, but perfectly spot on. And Eastwood... the sexiest inspector in the history of cinema! Just this image "the slender, feline silhouette of our beloved Clint Eastwood," to die for! Not to mention the timeless elegance: the least kitsch character of the '70s (in terms of clothing), let's take notice.
Quentin Tarantino Grindhouse: Death Proof - A Prova di Morte

Sure, if Masden had been there, it would have been a total wank (not mine, I mean Tarantino's). I won't see it very soon, maybe on some off-schedule day. Anyway, this is the "remastered" version; the one that was made in America isn't the same (well, just a cut and paste here and there, more or less, we are talking about Tarantino after all).
