Of course he's good, this big guy here has a nice brain. Polymorphic electronics but austere. If it sounds dated, who cares. I’m off to hunt for the disc in question. In the meantime, welcome to Crio in the very exclusive "stammtisch" electro of debaser.

Right, Occult, it's important to clarify your point; it's his, for example, the cover with the nun from Black Flag or the Goo cover from Sonic Youth...

What a load of crap! In the cover of Abbey Road, Lennon is in first place, okay, but then according to your reasoning, Melissa, what is Ringo doing in second place? Wouldn't it have been more fitting, if we're really trying to create a hierarchy, to have 1st Lennon, 2nd Macca, 3rd Harrison, 4th Starr? Ugh...

On the back cover, there’s an image of her getting taken from behind (to put it elegantly) by a big gruff guy (see here: no title A straightforward review for an album that pleases the little misanthrope in all of us.

the best album produced by Godrich in terms of songwriting, perhaps on par with Sea Of Love by Beck. Because this album, like Beck's, heavily feels the raw and essential style of Godrich, and it is precisely this that gives it its intriguing charm.

One of my albums of the year is on the podium, but I still don’t know which position it will take. The review isn’t bad, with some typos likely due to the rush of passion, I guess. It lacks some words on how this album has evolved, that is, the matter of fan co-producers' interactivity, a topic not to be underestimated that - in my opinion - has several intelligent and constructive aspects, more than those recently and dramatically proposed by Radiohead. A missed opportunity to spark a nice debate.

"sunshine-flower pop"... not for me, thanks. I'm more intrigued by "the dark twist that was brewing". :)

even the cover is beautiful. Among all the sparrows and various little birds you see around (graphically speaking, it's full of birds on the covers of folk-post rock albums, just take notice), this one seems the most "true" to me.

So this is a dear jester with a great voice, scraping the bottom of the barrel here; he is neither the first nor the last to do such things. However: a song, when it’s on the market, becomes everyone’s property; it becomes the one we sing in the shower, at a party, in the stadium, at karaoke... In other words, a song is common heritage; it can be distorted, sung off-key, reworked, reinvented. We can do it, so why can't Paul Anka? But you'll say he makes money from it; well, he pays his substantial part in return. All fair and square, then. And let's not forget he's not covering these great masterpieces; they’re all chart hits, stuff we’ve heard in a thousand different versions (maybe from the cover band at the pub down the street) before, so let’s not be picky. And finally, swing is untouchable, damn it, anyone can be punk (as long as they want), but not everyone can swing; you’re born with it, not made.
