Great biographical film where music takes center stage, sketching out the character in a broad sense, without pity or denunciations for his darker sides, interpreted by an intense Whittaker, though almost intimidated by the role. I echo those who say that Mystic River and Unforgiven are Eastwood’s best. A Perfect World... come on. A didactically interesting review. As usual.

But I understood the ending, I mean, the director's camera records madness and not reality, which is instead revealed to us in the end, by another camera, neutral, anonymous, that of the gas station. The inconsistencies are not script errors, but the mental short-circuits of the girl. I watched it alone at night, do you believe me if I say that I had a hard time sleeping afterwards? The cinematography and the locations are beautiful. I’ve read around that the most gruesome special effects are the work of an Italian.
