Scarlett Johansson Anywhere I Lay My Head

In my opinion, Tom Waits instead revels in it; he is sensitive to the eternal feminine just like many here and that is no mystery, and whether he was aware of this operation is not surprising either, since to make a record like this the author's consent is necessary. The review swims in filth, making the author look worse rather than the pseudo-singer, imho. Furthermore, to be precise, she is a cinematic interpreter, now also a musical one. She does her job, which is to "interpret." Just like a musician who WRITES songs but can also try his hand at writing poetry (Patti Smith?), journalistic articles (Tom Waits?), movie scripts (Nick Cave?)... It’s not the medium that is decisive but the approach to it, whether it’s professional or not, whether it’s credible or not. This is the perspective from which this record and Miss Scarlet’s work should be viewed. If she has failed, one might agree or not, but certainly not by debating on her looks and her "curvy ass"... what banality, what sadness! With that, I conclude with a loud "ENOUGH SHIT"!

very amusing description, but what can I say, the world is a village, it sounds like the description of any concert in Italy or Germany, like, I don’t know, Tokio Hotel with the winner of Factorx as the opening act...

Well, it was already mentioned in another review (of The Tree of Life) where everyone said it was a flop; I think instead it's a very interesting film. I wouldn't dismiss it so lightly, even if it's "rindondante" (I wouldn't say pretentious; let's not exaggerate, come on. Or rather: everyone would like to be Jodorowsky, and who is more "pretentious" if not him?)... And then Hugh Jackman is outstanding in that film. Ultimately, I think The Tree of Life really depends on generational tastes; we over-forty, free-spirited environmentalists (ahem...) are more lenient with new age :)).

the review is a half-hearted piece (it's more of a synopsis than a review), and the comments are disheartening. Oh well. This film is a masterpiece compared to certain crap I've read, here on debaser, with enthusiastic reviews and comments. And The Tree of Life is untouchable.

A friend had told me about it. But I think I’m a touchy person (could it be the age?).
