On the theme of intelligence and irony, a little anecdote: Hitler apparently got a copy of Chaplin's *The Great Dictator* for a private screening with his pals. It is said that he enjoyed it a lot, especially the scene with Mussolini, that one in the barber shop where the two go up and down with the chairs... I've always wondered: would Chaplin have been pleased about this? Did he find it amusing that Hitler enjoyed watching his film, or not?// I’ve never seen this movie, too bad here in Ticino these DVDs are not available at the newsstands.
