it's the best of the worst. That's something. Then the best of, it's better not to consider them as a starting point, come on, they are produced specifically for those who never "dig deeper." The problem with this woman is that she can't take off that worn-out mask of a tough vulgarian and a buzzkill. If only she wanted to (but she probably doesn't), she could be the absolute queen of modern soul, the real deal. All it takes is the essentials: a simple black dress, a stage in a theater, a microphone, her voice, and an orchestra with guts. She would be divine.

Sardinas, a pathetic raïss of the valleys, has been coming here to Ticino for years, every summer at a little festival in Valle (Maggia). A "stage" man, and a super-stereotyped tradesman: "he jumps off the stage to play an endless solo among the most distant audience, among those who might be sitting down enjoying their salamelle". Yeeeeah what excitement, so o-ri-gi-na-le.

What I meant was that my comment was more directed at the artists in question (the event was hyped by their production). the single on the radio is great. Otherwise... well. There's some affection for Tricky, you see (I have more animosity towards Portishead, I'm also on the Massive-Tricky side). It's nice, like when you run into a friend you haven’t seen in a while, just the time for a coffee, and then off you go each on your own path. Then - under the aegis of "de-gustibus" - the review is good.
