Drugs? Yes, but medicinal ones; I don't understand what kind of drugs you're talking about. Jackson didn't "do drugs" like a junkie or a cocaine addict buying stuff on the street. This is a medical issue. You don't know what someone in pain is capable of, but so much pain. Painkillers are never enough because you get used to them and have to increase the dose to feel anything at all. And then you take quantities that would normally bring down a buffalo. In Jackson's case, it was self-inflicted pain from countless surgeries (he said he didn't want to look like his father), and I remember that dancers often suffer from severe pain, strains, dislocations, etc. From what I've gathered, in Italy the prescription of morphine is very limited (terminal cases if I'm not mistaken), while here, in the land of pharmaceuticals, medicinal morphine (which is synthetic stuff, not from poppies like heroin) is more widespread, and this problem of dependency on medical morphine is very serious; many die because they "misjudge" the dose... I'm speaking from direct experience; I have a close relative who has been dependent for years, and I'm always on alert, hiding the pills, etc. Not to defend Jacko, but calling him a drug addict in the sense you mean is absolutely wrong. He was dependent, but he didn't fuel the mafia.

mmm Dictionary, I like your speech, sorry if I took you for a fanatic (of course I should have figured that out from your nickname), but I believe that even reviews of a minor work, perhaps critical ones, have their meaning. Why always and only speak well of these geniuses? Exactly. Even letting people know what to avoid has its usefulness.

Thank you, there’s actually another mistake I see: ā€œbut if you’re really fans then do this serviceā€... it should be ā€œbut if you’re really fans then do this serviceā€ or ā€œbut if you’re really fans, do this service.ā€ Damn. And I really tried! :-)

I prefer Muffino to Morandi for his youthful appearance, a delightful aesthetic matter, not for the voice (I really don't like Morandi at all). And I'll say even more, I prefer Ranieri when he sings in Neapolitan. You have no idea what charm a heartfelt Neapolitan song has on a Nordic :-D

Well, only thanks to supersoul's comment do we know that this record is a collection of outtakes, and not a studio album, and we also understand the whole Mothers situation, and bla bla. So dear Zappa fans: either Zappa is your thing and you keep it to yourselves, or be generous and share those details with us outsiders, and I'm not just referring to the reviewer, but especially to the commenting Zappa fans. Comments, besides being a stage for nonsense both good and bad, could also serve as a "supplement" to the review. This doesn't only apply to Zappa fans, of course, but if you're a true fan, do this service; let us get to know this amazing man if you really think it's worth it!

Muffino, you never disappoint! Ranieri is untouchable, a truly great voice. Among those "witheveryoungfaces," I much prefer him over that brown-noser Morandi, for vocal style, musical credibility, and human class. Well done, Giusti, for mentioning him (oh my, did I just say "well done, Giusti"?!). I’m voting "for him" on trust. :-)) (ps: "à la Yes" would be more chic, you know?)

Anyway, Peter Pan or not Peter Pan, Jacko had an immeasurable ambition. Beyond his pharaonic whims and that aura of "child" to whom everything is forgiven because he came from a difficult childhood, let’s not forget that dear Jacko bought the rights to the Beatles and married Elvis's daughter! He may have been a sweet creature with such a heart, who can deny it, but his myth, being "The Supreme," he built with cold calculation, there's no doubt about that.

What I wanted to say is that with Zappa there's no need to write review after review about this or that album. He made so many of them! At least with Zappa, there’s variety; in fact, many titles haven’t even been addressed yet, while with Radiohead we keep going around in circles, they don’t have 50 releases. Same goes for the others. The comparison doesn't hold up. That's what I meant.

But what a drag, what a drag, what a drag! There are also 4 Hot Rats, 2 Chunga Revenge, 3 Sheik Yerbouti, and many other reviews, right? A total of 40!!! And that's not enough?? For goodness' sake! We don't want any more duplicates on Zappa!
