yeah yeah, that's why I put the iutubbo. It was awesome despite the orchestral sweet nothings, right? What a "great" Sanremo that was (another catchphrase, Gianna). But we’re getting off topic. :)

Beautiful review, Fosca. Magical words: Studi Radius ... I absolutely have to listen to it before commenting, but is it available out there in an ethereal version?

Welcome back Vortex, with quite the catchy tune, right? I quote Iside, 5 all the way. Even though back then the "very Italian touch" kind of bothered me (a lot) – and not because it wasn't punk but because it was so Italian – the lyrics have become part of the DNA. I was thinking about this not long ago, if I'm not mistaken, in reference to a discussion on Italian underground punk here on deb, that in '78 Mingardi and Oxa (http://gourl.org/oxa) musically brought punk to the mainstream. Oxa took herself a bit too seriously, while Mingardi, well, he was still kind-hearted in his reverse decontextualization. (The only one he managed). I don't remember anything else about him (or my memory is faulty) except for the horrible boa in the canoe, which carried a pearl of wisdom: those who fear the snake fear the people. Bye.

Beautiful review Dope, but it’s a genre I’ve never been able to enjoy. At least that was the case years ago. Maybe today I’ll listen to it and have a revelation... but maybe not.

Written so well and fluidly that you are almost convincing :) as for Mannoia (whom I don't mind as an interpreter), she will end up like Vanoni, another one who has become capricious and caricatural. It makes me sad because Italy is one of the few countries that could give the world great international interpreters (if they only learned English well) in this decade filled with shrill black divas and guttural white singers that you can't tell if they have a penis or not. I mean, the days of Fitzgerald or Streisand, who didn't care about weighing a ton or having a crooked nose, are over. And I'll tell you more: Mina, who you see around here in Luga, if she were to appear in public, would outshine them all, even though she is a whale and hasn't had surgery. It's useless for them to disfigure themselves like that; they will never overcome the complex they have with the queen of Italian song. Because it’s not about having balls; it’s the voice and the soul that matter.

How lovely, Delore, they even go and read your profile. It really doesn’t take much to convince people, does it? "Convictions, more than lies, are dangerous enemies of the truth." Nietzsche
