AA.VV. Eyes Wide Shut (Soundtrack)

Uhm, yes, that big fish Cruise and his partner have gone sour, let's see if it's true that the movie helped mark the end of their relationship: to me, it's just a coincidence. The version of Migrations is indeed circulating without the original verse from the Canto dell' Angelo, which appears, I believe, in the original "Deluge" by Pook, 1997.

Starting from the assumption that these CDs are sold at very low prices, I believe that an almost necessary condition for trying to listen to them is that Dalla must be appreciated, and by "Dalla" I mean the golden era, from roughly '77 to '83: under these conditions, his vocal distortions, his scat, and his digressions, which are peculiar characteristics of this album and the other Roversiani (especially "Il Giorno"), are even more appreciated. Procaccia, procaccia.

Oh my God, Frantz, don’t make me speak!!! The main difference between any modern wall-cutter and a Caravaggio is that the artistic preparation of the wall-cutter is zero, while Caravaggio's is complex and documented. Then again, the cat scratch of Fontana can express a scream of emotional tension, for heaven’s sake, just as the Fascella Caravaggensis might seem like a deadly bore, but damn it, I won’t let a snip of scissors be even remotely compared to a work filled with artistic experience, and above all, realization skills. Down with Manzoni and his "Merda d'artista"!

Socrates, you too? Are you getting in on this as well? All I needed was for Nyman to coin the term "minimalism," defining his music as akin to it, and now it turns out it has nothing to do with that! So for you, Nyman is just talking nonsense! I won't delve into the merits of the discussion, as it seems to me that it's about to become rather tedious, especially if it’s just a matter of terms (we could call Nyman's minimalism "post-minimalism" or not call it anything at all, but the nature is that way; how can we say that before Nyman was more minimalistic than he is now, and so on), but, damn, the last thing we need is to say that Michael Nyman has nothing to do with minimalism, and then we plunge into the wildest relativism where nothing is definable and everything is incomprehensible... next time I'll write a review of the Zecchino d'Oro, I'm telling you in advance: you better not tell me that those aren't children's songs, or I’ll unleash Telefono Azzurro against you!

Well, your syllogism is not Aristotelian.
Lucio Battisti Umanamente uomo: il sogno

Album full of highs and lows, of fortissimo and pianissimo. Anthology pieces: "I Giardini di Marzo" above all, then "Comunque Bella" and "E Penso a Te". The whistling in the title track is too uncertain: here Lucio misses the mark! A truly straightforward review, very simple and didactic, well done.

The film is действительно decent, perhaps forgettable, but enjoyable.

But really, I don't quite like the definition you give of minimalis... never mind! No, Hal, I don't know if I can trust you, because with the nickname you've got, maybe you read my lips while I'm talking to myself and then you leave me for space just because I want to put you rightfully out of use... you creep me out. Round and round the world goes, down it falls.

I quote: "Minimalism is based on the idea of a continuum generated by microscopic melodic variations in time stretched infinitely." Well, this album is minimalist. Perfect, that explains everything. Be careful, because mama weighs 120 kilos, eats raw celery, and has hair on her forearms.

I like you, Hal, because you're tough. Like me. We'll go far together.
