This is the result of a negative promotion campaign for Bruss, pushed by some joker. :D Good one, Massimof, sure it’s not easy to talk appropriately about this record, one that, in terms of quantity and quality, can only be considered "the creative peak," as you say, of the Springsteen discography. You could certainly have delved deeper into the many tracks, the musical merits (the ESB does "sound" one way or another), but nonetheless you captured what I believe to be the spirit of River and Bruss's music: the absolutely engaging character of his songs, the ability that Springsteen has to penetrate the personal, through a range of feelings and human experiences that are hard not to feel close to. Some might call it sentimental, perhaps not without reason, but frankly, one cannot do him wrong, at least regarding this work.
