Noboduccio, allow me to be presumptuous. I know the life, death, and miracles of Battiato. I have followed and loved him immensely, so much so that I can now navigate a critical phase through which I can understand what truly excels and what does not. And after having searched and deeply analyzed with the ears of one who appreciates, I have discovered that this is one of the most beautiful pieces, because it is one of the most edible of Franco, one of those written more with the soul than with the brain. Without frills, without prolixity, as often happens in our friend's writings, a straightforward piece like the truth it narrates. And from this, it seems to me that I can understand it is a unique episode in his discography, and for that, it deserves all the honors. If then you talk about music and other aesthetic parameters of the tube, I really don’t care this time, I tell you quite frankly. Sometimes you have to "intuit" the pieces (how beautiful is the etymology of this verb, do you know it?), rather than listen to them coldly. And I, after years of listening to Battiato, have the presumption of having intuited that our friend this time spoke with his heart in hand.

"In the living rooms, walnut burl coffee tables and canterani with gray-veined marbles, bronchitis with vapors and Vicks Vaporub. In the air, something came to a stop." ("Tibetan Bells")

"In this age of low intelligence and high regression, some fool still believes that we come from monkeys and that the sun is just a ball of fire, not realizing that it is a form of energy. Adam picked fruit from the tree of knowledge, then the last apple fell on Newton's head, causing a bruise." ("La musica è stanca")

Nobodino, may I? Considering it a work-related matter, let me quote a few fragments. Don't get angry, okay? :) "The sedentary fashion of imaginary travels and masturbations will return; the analyst knows that the family has been in crisis for generations due to the lack of fathers" ("Western Sunset")

What a crime not to have talked about one of the most beautiful songs of all time: "La stagione dell'amore." "And yet another enthusiasm will make your heart beat..." ahiahi, Rinusmarte :)

In my opinion, one of the peaks of modern Battista discography. A masterpiece of introspection, a modern guide to contemporary blunt philosophy. Dedicated to those who do not "listen" to the lyrics.
AA.VV. Goa-Head, volume 7

Stay cool, metalhead, or we'll make you play a nice little game. Ropes, stones, and medieval pikes. Watch out, one day we’ll come and get you.

Punny, darling! So, aside from the fact that the review is quite nice, even though you seem to want to dwell a bit too much on this whole assassin thing, I must say you've got the wrong target in your crosshairs. The Brindani of the situation is a guy who has only recently appeared on "Chi", less present on TV than certain journalists who deserve a lot more negative consideration: he deals with the newspaper only to a certain extent; the true mass-media monster you should have come after is rather the shriveled hag named Silvana Giacobini, the one who founded the newspaper and promotes despicable television apologies in favor of the Lecciso and company. That’s the type to crucify, along with Monica Setta, Barbara Alberti, Max Lazzari, and the like. You've got your sights a bit wrong, even though Brindani is indeed the current director of the newspaper: just remember that the "new monsters" are others...! Smacks
