This is an excellent defense, Qze. "We need to stop the nonsense," right. 5 it is.

Oh, I'm just teasing. You play the devil's advocate, right? :)

Well, it's always the same problem regarding how a record manages to "say." This record is poor in terms of composition, yet it says a lot. And there are still differences in interpretation about how Kraft intended the "man-machine" relationship. They lived in electronics, in mechanization, and turned it into gold. But did they condemn it at the same time? Are robots the monsters of the new mechanical culture? Or was it a stylistic exercise?

It's definitely what I listen to the most, but when it comes to top-ten, maybe Trans is a notch above.

You’re not telling me that this album is experimental, right? :)

Ah, and anyway, don't worry about that guy: he has a tendency to stalk me with a waterproof, maniacal demeanor, but deep down, he's endearing :)

Hey, Cicero, good point, thank you. That's exactly it: what condemned Lucio, and has condemned him, is being Italian. But I emphasize: in my funny sermon, there was indeed a hint of bitterness, regardless of what the old good-for-nothing thinks. Bitterness because, for example, on this site, many people are interested in high-level music, with a musical culture perhaps much broader than mine, yet they know nothing about this album. I'm not saying the knowledge here is stuck on the famous campfire songs like "La canzone del sole" or "Fiori Rosa...", but there's certainly that typical superficial knowledge of Battisti where one might say, "Well, yes, he's good, 'Giardini di Marzo' is nice," or something like that. They don't know the great Battisti from these experimental works, the Battisti of this album, of "Amore e non amore" (PFM was born there, and Area would come three years later, then Le Orme, Banco and all the rest, but prog-rock enthusiasts don’t know anything about this album), from the panel works. Even in the compilations, we certainly don't find "Anonimo," maybe "Ancora tu" would be better: since the radio and record labels play these types of revival songs, one gets a modest idea of Battisti. This is what I mean by "learn." There are people here with great musical knowledge. Before moving on to the giants of international rock, a stop here would be necessary. That's all.

I have also expressed my personal opinion elsewhere regarding the compositional poverty of Kraftwerk. In short, it’s right there (and in everyone’s ears): that annoying "loop" on which a rather disreputable character lashed out in one of my reviews of Organisation. This album is probably the epitome of compositional banality, far more so than "Trans Europa Express," "Autobahn," and especially "Ralf und Florian," which, compared to the more famous Kraftwerk, is a small masterpiece. If we then start making comparisons with the other giants of Krautrock (I’m talking about Amon Duul and Neu!, just to name two), the emptiness stands out even more. Musically, there are no margins for exploration or experimentation. And it also sounds a bit outdated. And boring. In short, in light of all this, I would say it’s definitely a 5 out of 10 album.

Wonderful "Suffer". At the top, for me, together with "Precious" from the latter. Oh, review more or less... :)
