The cover actually feels a bit haphazard, but it's a stylistic signature of the entire ambient discography that deserves respect. The album resonates with me, but I can't quite place it in the Empyrean, due to a very personal idiosyncrasy regarding works that have a subtext referring to glaciers-icebergs-fjords-moss-liche ns. However, I have an established homosexual veneration for ZiOn (cit.).

Yes, while you were talking about it, I immediately thought of Cronenberg. And also a bit of Tetsuo and his strawberry-shaped thing. I don't know if I'll watch it, though, because I'm afraid of having nightmares at night.

Thank you @[macmaranza] for the share. In the Old Testament I've written controversial reviews, but this one I defend tooth and nail: almost fifteen years later, I would write exactly the same things.

The poster is simply stunning, and Kusturica's production really tickles my fancy. If I catch it, I'll watch it. A review that doesn't rely on quotes, but is genuine and well-written.

But just think... so the Belgians have come up with something else besides dEUS and beer. Very good.

Here’s the @[ZiOn] we love: prompt and with a delightfully stinging writing style when it comes to fishing from the trash of which he is the utmost connoisseur. How true it is to say that this poor guy would have been lynched already in the auditions, while all things considered, his rhymes seem more harmless than the daring puns of a Gianni Drudi. Dada Loi is also among the backing vocalists, by the way ("esticazzi" feel free to add it as you like).
Grimes Miss Anthropocene
Voto:
So, let's start from a premise: I quite like Grimes. She can do a bit of everything and has expressed this stylistic signature of a Japanese-cyberpunk heroine from the very beginning, with a predisposition toward a wide range of stylistic registers that allow her to shift from country-pop to hard rock, from synth-pop to electroclash. That said, "Visions" and "Art Angels" are two excellent albums for me (the first more than the second), while this one is simply decent. What doesn't convince me is precisely the overstructure that looms over the concept, the theme of raising awareness about climate change, which seems to be treated in a somewhat prosopopoeic and caricatured manner, weighing everything down a bit. It's true that Grimes, in her statement of intent, says she wants to focus on "fun," and to some extent the lighthearted tone of some of her tracks supports her claim, but overall the work seems to remain too entangled in the convoluted frameworks of the "anthropocene" theme and fails to have the freshness of her previous works. Also, in general, I wouldn't even give five stars to her best works, as much as I love them, I don't see the stigmata of holiness.
Regarding the review, I must say that it isn’t one of my favorites from ZiOne, due to a few somewhat "naive" notes at the beginning and end of the synopsis. However, the exposition is always smooth and exeggetical and has the merit of doing justice to Grimes, perhaps even more than necessary, so the half star I take away from the work, I give to the review, rounding up. So it is decided.
Christopher Nolan Following
Voto:
Everything is perfectly centered, interline spacing aside. Then on Nailon, we are completely in sync when you say that, for better or for worse, he is one of the most original and recognizable authors in modern cinema. There is the cinema of Lang, there is the cinema of Kieslowski, there is the cinema of Leone, there is the cinema of Scorsese, there is the cinema of Nolan. And all the others are just sucking up.
This, however, is one of the few that I'm missing, but there will be an opportunity.
