The reading of pretazzo, although acceptable and personal, betrays the intentions of Tangerine Dream. Their music has never had the ambition to be ambient music, background music, or a complement: ambient music was definitively codified by that Brian Eno fellow who, in 1978, made music for Airports with the pure intent of having it "felt" rather than "listened to." Here is ambient music by definition, the kind recommended for unintentional listening, music for environments - the airport in this case - where you are supposed to do "something else" (the activities you mention, pretà). Here, doing "something else" is not the intention. This music was not born with the aim of simply having the audience "feel" it; it has a content that doesn't position it as an environmental framework: it is a cosmic journey, situated in space and addressing it. In space, one lives off of space, because it is a dimension that thrives on itself: to put it simply, space is not the context for a conversation or a reading; space exhausts itself within. It is not an airport, where you can even fornicate. The fact that Eno then codified a similar type of music in his finished product to the music of Zeit is another matter. The intents are different. Let's call it "ambient" for convention's sake, but it is not.

...so? Less irony in the mouth of the fool. Like for the sarcastic, it diminishes the ability to discern.

Ah, really, was it a matter of who shows off and who doesn't? You could have said it right away! It's true! In Palermo, they show off and they're even half monsters! For goodness' sake, you could have mentioned it earlier!

I am sensitive with you because you are grumpy and vafro. Düsseldorf? I need to look into it, I really enjoyed the Neu! experience, you know (you even gave me a 3 there, you old greedy Bavarian!). Anyway, Fest got it right: what a bore. Irrlicht, with the organ of Ebene, is a whole different story. There is cosmic music and cosmic music.

Anyway, you haven't convinced me at all: 5 minutes more or less don't change the situation. Fest, you've approached the core, but I ask: Quis custodiat custodies? In other words: who decides what the quantum should be? In what sense are the TD reliable if they are the ones deciding? I could estimate a duration of 8 minutes for the title track to be more reasonable.

...more cultured and contemplative? Antonio, if you keep this up, I will cut off your support.
