it's not Hellhammer from the DVD, educate yourself before you shoot down artists who have worked their asses off to get where they are now

Techno metal is a metal that transcends the genre… either through technique or external influences. As for the first category, I can mention Death, Megadeth, Watchtower… and for the second, there are Celtic Frost, Cynic, Emperor (for black).

Meanwhile, Arise is more similar to Reign in Blood than to Season, point one. Point two, this is not techno thrash because it simply isn’t technical (don’t bring up the drummer because Lombardo in ’85 and Sandoval and Hellhammer in ’91 would eat him for breakfast), it just has some random noise here and there and ABOVE ALL a lot of filtered and rapped vocals. If this isn’t nu-metal, at best it’s a hybrid between nu and thrash-core, but it doesn’t go beyond that. If you want to listen to some good evolved thrash/death, check out Into the Pandemonium and To Mega Therion by Celtic Frost, or any album by Death, recommended: The Sound of Perseverance. This isn’t a criticism, it’s advice. Anyway, I own the original album and I don’t like it.

Mercyful Fate Melissa

The cover features a skull that glows red from within. Next to the word "Melissa," the shape of the teeth is clearly visible.

"I believe that the importance of this album and its author, more generally, lies in his ability to provoke restlessness, fear, discomfort, and perhaps even terror, but this is just one aspect. Burzum translated into music his obsessions, his madness, and everything he had inside him, as every true artist (in the broadest sense of the term, thus not only in the musical field) should be able to do." I completely agree.
Sorry one thing Diofa, but what the hell does it mean to live black metal? Dressing in black, going around painted and spiked, and putting dynamite under churches? The black metal culture has been dead for a while (thankfully, I might add, because there are already too many terrorists around...). That said, I really like this CD a lot.

I just wrote a black metal song: it's awesome, a mix between de mysteriis dom sathanas and death cult armageddon by Dimmu.

this review is objectively not crap, I've seen much worse. Sure, it's a bit short, but after all...
