Dire Straits Money For Nothing

Sure, I don't like the Greatest Hits at all, but if we take the songs on this CD one by one, we can't give them anything less than a full 5... the version of Telegraph Road is absolutely stunning... amazing... I recently heard it live at a Knopfler concert... impeccable, breathtaking. The rest is pointless to even comment on... of course, a noteworthy Greatest Hits album by Dire Straits would need 3 CDs, in my opinion, not just one...
As for Hal... the EP is definitely nice... the only drawback is that it's lacking any unreleased tracks (they're all live versions taken from Shangri-La).

For Mandrocker, Sailing To Philadelphia sold more than this thanks to an important single like What it is that this one doesn't have... but overall this album, aside from being made decidedly better, is in my opinion superior. Last thing... "You don't know where you're born" captivating??? well... it's nice (and at the same time strange) to read such different opinions...

JESUS CHRIST, I FORGOT THE VOTE!!!!! It's 4 ANYWAY. SORRY, MUST HAVE BEEN THE EXCITEMENT OF THE FIRST DE-REVIEW!
George Harrison Cloud Nine

I also really like this album, even if I think it deserves a 4 rather than a 5 absolutely... I like your review, but maybe a little too much emphasis considering the album is not a masterpiece, but it’s nice and very enjoyable!!! You should definitely check out Harrison's latest, it's really a beautiful album for me, on par with Cloud Nine!

x Bleak, perhaps we misunderstood each other or maybe I explained myself poorly.... so my opinion is that what is for you the most beautiful U2 album remains their worst record for me up to 2000. U2 are (but especially were) one of the best rock bands around...... and this is an objective statement.... they are on the same level as R.E.M. (whom I personally prefer by far) but the level remains the same. If you can, listen to "Under A Blood Red Sky" and if you haven't already, although I doubt it.... it's a live album so there's no one to cover for them (your Eno talk) listen to it and then we'll talk about it again. As for the review, I'm sorry if I was like that.... rereading it cold, I believe I over-exaggerated... however, my opinion doesn't change. I still consider Achtung Baby to be the last great U2 album.

Bob Dylan Blonde on Blonde

Absolutely the best album by Mr. Zimmerman.
APPEAL TO BOWIE & BARRETT: STOP TALKING SO MUCH BULLSHIT.....THE FIRST ONE TO MAKE COMPARISONS IS YOU!
I DON'T THINK DYLAN EVER DID ROCK SHOWS FOR 4 STRAIGHT HOURS. THE ONLY THING DYLAN AND SPRINGSTEEN HAVE IN COMMON IS AN UNMATCHED ARTISTIC DEPTH.
"The kid blew me away because I was used to hearing such quality once every ten years, and Bruce didn't just seem the best among all, he was even better than the Dylan I had listened to in a similar audition." John Hammond.
"The single Hungry Heart, heard by John Lennon on the radio, made him say: It's the coolest and most exciting thing I've heard since the Beatles."
I feel sorry for you, but when you talk about Springsteen, you need to understand you're talking about the Elvis of the 20th century....and like Elvis, he didn't invent anything....he "only improved it all." I've also read that you talked (always bullshit) about the excessive ticket prices....I've never heard anyone coming back from a Springsteen concert complain about the ticket price being too high....and do you know why? But why do you care anyway?? Just listen to your white duke and leave THE BOSS alone; he's not for you.
Bob Dylan Blood On The Tracks

The most beautiful for me remains Blond On Blond, followed by Freewheelin' Bob Dylan and Bringing It All Back Home, and I would also add Highway 61 Revisited. This one too is yet another great album, even if it's inferior to the ones I've mentioned and still better than Desire... but are you sure you really remember the songs from Blond On Blond???? Probably the best double LP in the history of music.
Bob Dylan Street Legal
Voto:
Beautiful, definitely... "Chaning Of The Guards," "Is Your Love In Vain," "Where Are You Tonight?" above all... but certainly not a 5, Desire just to mention the previous album is clearly superior.

Magnificent album. The review is great too.
