This is a group that truly has the guts to try something new, and they do it damn well. The concert they played opening for the FantomasMelvins Big Band in Bologna was the most engaging I've seen in recent years.

I'm sorry Enkrist/iko, but I just don't appreciate the delusional reviews...

Yes, the original piece is written by Pat Ballard, but the version reinterpreted by Blind Guardian is the one from 1954, that is, the one by the Chordettes.

I also agree about the pickup. :) The 23 in Padova isn't bad in terms of supplies... but prices have skyrocketed disgustingly in recent years.

No, Mauro, he simply showed a shred of good manners and asked to bring the discussion to the forum of the site, which is surely more appropriate. Anyway, to write these river posts you must have absolutely nothing to do, huh?

"Chronicle of the Black Sword" is a magnificent space rock album, inspired by the Elric saga written by Michael Moorcock. In the live version (Live Chronicles) of the album, there is even Moorcock himself reciting passages from the book! :) The atmospheres of the book are, in my opinion, perfectly captured by the band... and Song of the Sword is stunning! :p
