Premise: after the good Louder Than Hell, it took six years to await a new album from the Kings Of Metal, which finally released in 2002. Some consider the album Warriors Of The Word United a masterpiece, while others think it's a complete failure. I'll try to review the album quite impartially, even though I'm a die-hard fan of Manowar...

The album consists of eleven tracks, some very beautiful, others not worthy of the Kings Of Metal. Call To Arms is a good opening track that reminds us of old times Manowar, The Fight For Freedom sounds good but lacks conclusion, the third track is the cover "Nessun Dorma". Notably, Eric's Italian is not the best, but the track maintains a good tone. Valhalla is a well-structured 35-second track with an organ; Swords Of The Wind maintains the album’s slow tone. An American Trilogy, a cover of Elvis Presley, is very well redone by the Kings Of Metal. The seventh track The March follows the footsteps of Swords In The Wind, Warriors Of The Word United is the real masterpiece of the album, thanks to an excellent performance by the choir, unfortunately, the title track is only revisited by fans who had a chance to hear it already in the single released before the album. Hand Of Doom, House Of Death, and Fight Until We Die maintain the album's heavy style.

In conclusion, I think the album is not a masterpiece but still noteworthy. Excellent performance by all the band members, Joey is always creative, and Eric remains the great singer of Manowar.

A track that absolutely charges you up, a perfect opener I would say.

One of the best Manowar tracks, absolutely.
