Lucio Battisti Il Nostro Caro Angelo

It's not long since I repurchased this album on CD, and I must say that the step back from Il Mio Canto Libero is evident. One might talk about an misunderstood album, revolutionary, sophisticated, or whatever, but the impression is that the first phase of the Battistiana era has come to an end with this modestly significant record. In fact, being a sort of genius, he understands this and in the subsequent Anima Latina he changes direction and produces a minor masterpiece. Nevertheless, it's a must-have.

Does anyone know what the instrumental track is that plays in the second half of the film "Tu la conosci Claudia?" by Aldo Giovanni e Giacomo? At the beginning of the second half, there’s "Consequence" by Notwist, and afterward, there's an instrumental piece that, among other things, returns several times. Does anyone have the answer? I chose this review simply because it's the most commented. I'm waiting hopefully.

It's hard to believe that this album was recorded in 1965. As far as I'm concerned, it's the absolute masterpiece of the Beatles. A lineup of mind-blowing singles all on one record. Crazy.

A milestone of Italian music of all time. The supreme masterpiece of Lucio Battisti. It's true, he crafted other important albums, but here I think we are at the peak, and expecting more would truly be utopian. I've listened to it a thousand times and it still doesn’t tire me. There must be a reason!

Fortunately, I'm not the only poor 56k. Where I live, it's the only connection available. Poor homeland.

Overrated album. Perhaps because it was reissued on CD not long ago and a legend was created?

I still have Peggy Suicide ringing in my ears (get it if you can) but I don’t think this album is better. As soon as I find it, I’ll buy it. Then I'll get back to you. It’s true that Julian is completely crazy, but those who have seen him live told me he’s a very serious professional.

Socrates, you are amazing. Even though soul (and satellites) is not my favorite genre, I find this album extraordinary. It’s the only Gaye record I own. When it comes to masterpieces, I listen to everything and often enjoy it all, but when it’s time to get into the details, I prefer to play it safer. Incredibly, I read about people who don’t know this album. Philistines!
