It seems to me that this is the only album by the lovely Beth that I have never listened to. For me, the best is Daybreaker. Paris Train makes me feel ecstatic every time I listen to it.

Strangely, you haven't reviewed the debut which, in my humble opinion, is the best. And, very subjectively, this is the one I like the least.

I'm one of those with a few dozen springs behind me and I remember very well the two catchphrases mentioned. I also fondly recall Howard Jones. More or less, we're on the same wavelength. Characters of their time and now forgotten. But every now and then they cross my mind. And a thousand other things from those times come back to me.

Shareable review. Personally, I stopped at And Then There Were Three... (still bearable), however, I had the chance to listen to this half-baked piece of junk. And to forget it.

A heartfelt thanks, as usual, to the few but good attendees. Also to the witty ones. @MAH! As we get older, I think a bit of nostalgia is inevitable. The important thing is not to overdo it; otherwise, one risks descending into the pathetic and the ridiculous. The album could have very well been a four-star one, but around here stars are given out here and there, and, taking inspiration from some complaints I've been reading, I thought it was right to downsize the work. The problem, as I raised in my first review of Emiliana Torrini, is that everyone tends to review the genre they love the most with evident outpourings of love and stars. Objectivity, regardless, I think is an utopia in every field.

Thank you to those who joined. @telespallabob77 I don't think the comparison to the Hives is that fitting. From what little I know and have heard, they don't do pop-dance; it's fine if you want to have fun with them, but in the same way, there would be a myriad of hilarious groups. @Ghemison You're too kind. But are you really sure we have the same tastes? Reading what you review and what I review, some doubts arise. Have you seen my personal chart? Aside from the fact that if I were to redo it today, I would come up with 31 new ones, but still, that's my genre. Do I really see myself there? Anyway, this record is nice, especially in the car. Bye.

Thank you for the new names. I will inform myself even though time is increasingly scarce. Richard Hawley had placed a wonderful track on this album, namely the title track, which, if not repeated in the new work, makes it, as you say, perhaps inferior. Regarding the wine commentary, I believe that many albums need to breathe. Sometimes I get caught up in easy enthusiasm or easy depression. Music, on the other hand, needs time, something we all have less and less of.

In fact, I had read rather lukewarm reviews about it. However, no one here talks about it, and paraphrasing the resigning Socrates, I would say it is a neglected genre. At least around these parts.

He released a new album, how is it?
