Don't worry Big D: I also started reviewing here on de-baser with Rammstein (Reise/Reise). The thing is, an album like Mutter stirs something inside me, and just hearing its name makes me want to talk about it for hours. Sorry for the point, take it easy and welcome:-)))))!

The times of Festa Mesta??? My "true Marlene" are no longer there from "Il Vile" if we want to be honest; then they satisfied me up to "Che cosa vedi," but now, unexpectedly, among the various paths taken, they have decided to choose one, seemingly in a definitive way... both the choice and the results are debatable, but they are coherent and honest.

I only have this, beautiful but "heavy," I doubt that the other albums can move me. I consider them artists with a capital A and then....damn, some of them are the Bad Seeds.....not just any band....

X pugliamix: there will be 2, no problem ;-), it was a risk I took too, I thought one would come out soon, but while I was listening and re-listening to it, I felt it natural to write it... you know how it is: you listen and re-listen, you re-listen and think, you think and write, you write and listen, you listen and re-listen... a vicious circle by now.... bye.....

It’s a very thoughtful album; perhaps I haven't fully digested it yet. I prefer the more extensive assortment of "Che cosa vedi" over the last two works, but this one remains enjoyable nonetheless.
I must emphasize that for me, they remain the best live band in Italy. Now, I don’t know what they will decide for live performances—whether to go for a new bassist or a touring musician (maybe Maroccolo). Godano manages to express himself brilliantly in concert.
I agree with Zion and Damaskinos; Godano's style may not be to everyone's taste. I've heard that it even bothers some, but it is very personal and characteristic: personally, I love it!

I wanted to say that I would give the album a 4 and a half! :-)

MMMMmmmmm, I think we were a bit sparse in my opinion.
It's a great album that allows Rammstein to make a leap in quality thanks to dry and never predictable melodies, very symphonic and at times epic; I see their music as a phoenix rising just when you least expect it. "Mutter" is in many ways their best album... decadent but never giving up... $5 for the album!!!

So, I believe DeBaser is at most 3/4 years old; those who review do it for themselves, to indulge a whim, to give a judgment or a feeling based on listening to an artist or an album.
So far, I have reviewed several albums that have been important to me in one way or another. My next review, which should be coming out, is the latest by Marlene, a new work. The last one I published was David Bowie with "Station to Station" from 1976.
There’s no particular criterion for selection; I listen to a CD and say: it’s worth it, it inspires me, I’ll review it... is that a comprehensive motivation? Bye.
