N.E.R.D. In Search Of...

In my opinion, CapitanMutanda and Ale87 are the same person: if you notice in the dialogue above, they chat with each other, but at one point the user makes a mistake and uses the name Ale87 to respond to themselves instead of logging out and back in with the other nickname. What an embarrassment. As for the rest, the usual nonsense about hip-hop. I'm surprised by Contemplazione, who seemed to me an intelligent person.

Nice review. I haven't heard the song, though.

@Iside: Bennato wasn't in Napoli Centrale, but in the Nuova Compagnia di Canto Popolare.

I, like Cool, sometimes think about getting them back. Pharrell has enough of my respect as a beat-maker: he has a very recognizable style and the quality is often high. The review is written poorly ("the fabric is there and it shows" come on, no). Anyway, young one, welcome, I like your tastes.

really well done review.

I really don't care what your friends think. Are you telling me that you don't like Björk because you find her artificial or something else? Or maybe because she doesn’t just play/produce/sing but also has a thinking mind? I really can't understand. Anyway, you'll be pleased to know that I absolutely love Björk. Some of her tracks are incredibly captivating for me (I'm thinking of Play Dead, Declare Independence, Army Of Me, Big Time Sensuality, Where Is The Line, Oceania...). Besides always being refined and conceptually profound, her music is also a lot of fun; a perfect example is the cover of It's Oh So Quiet...

You Tremble must be quite young or at least uninformed. Björk hasn't been around since the dawn of time: she was (perhaps they were even married) with one of the Sugarcubes, and in the '90s she worked with the coolest producers (Goldie, Tricky, and Howie B). Coincidentally, all three are black, and we can imagine she had quite a lot of fun (in fact, here on deB she was nicknamed the "pornonana"). Aside from this erotic little footnote, you can think whatever you want about Björk and her music. I'm a fan; I respect her a lot as an artist and await each of her works with high expectations. Clearly, I don't have the truth in my pocket, and my ideas are debatable, but it also matters how they are expressed (wishing for abductions and rapes is quite crude, offensive, and not even funny). However, I remain convinced that Björk is one of the few artists who continues to produce and offer great music; maybe she has lost the originality of her early works (granted, because Medúlla is by no means a record that sounds like anything already heard), but she remains honest and creative. Something that cannot be said for many others. I'm sorry you don't feel the same way, but de gustibus.

Come on, let's have a nice verbal brawl!!! Damn, insult each other… finally. It's been too long since there was a good vulgar dispute here on deB. Meanwhile, I’m taking bets from other users and gathering some friends. You all vent, make sure of it.

Since there wasn't any review before and since you liked the album so much, couldn't you write something a bit more interesting? Too much effort? Well... they caught my attention when they first came out, and I downloaded a few tracks, but then they ended up in oblivion. You did well to remind me of them, it's a shame about the terrible little page.

what a wild review! I like it... I don't know the album, I've only heard the latest Prezens as Contemplazione, of which you can find my review here (http://www.indieforbunnies.com/2007/09/27/david-torn-prezens/).
