I don't know this one, but it's a nice quick little page...

I've only heard a few singles from 311, but I've never found anything else. What do you recommend? I would say that even the first album by Limp Bizkit is a great record in this sense. I listened to the other album, the previous one by UBS, and it's awesome!

The most beautiful things on this page were said by anonymous people and by TheJargonJing. Dire Straits? never liked them.

In fact, Concept1 is much more minimal than just techno.

Sorry, but whose Concept One the hell is it? Okay, I don't know much... but Hawtin is still Hawtin...

as someone else wrote in these parts: "minimal is Hawtin" so it's not quite as you put it, it's not that he converted to minimal, he invented it. it's different.

this is Closer I miss them, but I have the Untitled reviewed on deB (MILESTONE!!!!!!) and Disconnect which is perhaps a little less valid (still 4 stars, nothing less). however, I don't like the review, too repetitive (and well, we are talking about minimal) and poorly crafted (damn, you can't tell me it's English: Canadian by birth as Giubbo says above, but soon adopted by Detroit)

The Sublime were pretty badass, but not very crossover in my opinion... like a stripped-down version of the RHCP minus the rap elements... and I would actually mention the Red Hot Chili Peppers among the first crossover bands; their debut is pretty rough and it’s from 1984, before Living Colour, Run DMC, Faith No More, and all the rest. Moreover, I think Bad Brains aren’t really that crossover, but in the end, I only know their first album so I’d better keep quiet... I’m not sure if, as Pixies77 says, the Funkadelic (not the Parliament, who are clearly blaxploitation/p-funk in terms of sound, totally over the top) can be considered crossover, but a track like Who Says A Funk Band Can't Play Rock? definitely fits the bill. As for these guys (but what does Dance have to do with it?!), I’m looking for the album that Kosmo and Super mentioned, especially because there’s a DJ...

Nice little page! I've been trying to find the record and haven't had any luck: neither in stores nor online nor on the mulo... I was really intrigued and still am; I even heard something on YouTube (there's a really strange video): would you mind passing it to me? I recommend you check out l'AntiPop Consortium, Dalek, and also Roots Manuva; they’re all more underground than the Anticon circle but I think you’ll like them... and last year under Lex (the label of Subtle) that awesome album came out which is the debut of Shape Of Broad Mind, highly recommended.
