I mean, I like Dillinger Escape Plan but not excessively; in some parts they're just too extreme. Lacking in lyricism, always rushing, too technical... is this different or would you recommend against it? I was thinking of getting into Mastodon...

Last Night is essential, read it. Well, LLP is beautiful to me. It's an essay that deals with the emotional-intimate aspects of the club generation and it doesn't even want to be factual. But we’ve ended up in a loop, I think it’s time for a nice (de)de-gustibus... right?

Last Love Parade is an essay and it is the perfect counterpart to Last Night A Dj Saved My Life: as the latter is coldly informative and cultural (still remaining one of the best music books ever written), Mancassola’s book is exciting, intimate, and true. Last Night is an essay about DJing, while Last Love Parade is an essay about those who are on the other side of the console.
