"...Beyond the fact that even the references do not excite me, this constant referencing of what has already been written and said irritates me beyond measure now..." I call this post-modern. And sometimes (like in this case) I find it well done: accomplished both artistically/musically and emotionally. This album affects me mentally and especially emotionally, for better or worse. There are few things that move me so much lately: "everiday" by Yo La Tengo (listened to all day, almost the only song until I went out), the latest work by TV On The Radio, and "Treasure" by Cocteau Twins. And clearly this album. I take it to heart, interpret the mood, and feel at ease (or discomfort, whichever I prefer). That said, I’ll conclude and rate the album a little lower because I was too influenced during the first listens. I wish everyone a good night...

Alright guys, I will eagerly await your opinions on the rather unpleasant little piece of work in question.

Really nice review. And great Moz! But what's the latest album?

Well, it's depressing to write a review and get comments like this... I'm really demoralized.
Ben Harper Live From Mars

I don't appreciate dear Ben as much now, too full of himself and wealthy, no longer charming. I used to like him a lot; this live album (especially the electric part) is fantastic. He annoys me a bit because it's too little funky for my taste. I saw him live a few years ago in Florence, and it was a great concert, even though he was a bit stiff sitting there playing the guitar virtuoso. I would say it's really the band that rocks. The review is a bit long; maybe I'll read it later.

Unfortunately, I just woke up now and dear [sfascia], I don't fully understand your comment... sorry, I'll get back later when I'm more clear-headed... but I would like to reassure you, I don't buy Trend and I never have: simply, my father has a little newsstand/bookstore/stationery and I have unlimited (and free) access to all of its resources.

Nice cd. Nothing to get too excited about, but I enjoy listening to it. I would say that the review exaggerates at times. Yes to cosmic, to dub, to techno, to the slow-motion, but very little to trip-hop. I find the influence of bands like Dead Can Dance and especially Cocteau Twins quite strong. Anyway, well written...

beautiful review. I don't know the group. as for Pennac's page, it's just as beautiful, maybe even more so... and when I read Sandinisti, I can't help but think of the Clash. it's all too beautiful... I'm almost moved.
