"Many think of Master of Puppets as the album that launched them into success, thanks to which they are now known as one of the best metal bands. Let's just say that those who think this are mostly kids who grew up with the music of pop groups or worthless critics who believe they're 'the mouth of truth of Heavy Metal.' What the hell does that mean? I mean, if someone thinks that Master of Puppets launched them to success, they're probably a kid raised on pop music? Why should they think this? 'The mouth of truth of Heavy Metal'? Look, Master of Puppets sold 15 million copies, and I don't think it sold 14,500,000 after the release of 'Metallica.'"

YS is more refined, complex, conceptual... this one is more straightforward, immediate, and rocking.

I believe Bonehead should be mentioned not because it stands out from the others, but because it is the main song in both of Haneke's Funny Games. In fact, I got to know Zorn through Funny Games. I won't comment on the album, I've listened to it little and the excessive experiments don’t really appeal to me!

Heart Of The Sunrise. Period. A not-so-exciting but honest review.
Television Adventure

A so-so review, a bit brief that also lives in the shadow of Marquee Moon, since for 3/4 of the review you talk about the comparison between the two albums... As for Adventure, it is certainly less inspired and exciting than its predecessor, but it is definitely a square, solid, well-played, and interesting album that I am still discovering today.

@Teenagelobotomy: Brain Salad Surgery has a so-so side A, which is basically a copy and paste of previous albums... but Karn Evil 9 is probably their most successful Suite, and since you call BSS a piece of crap album, include Karn Evil 9, which is basically the album. I don’t know your tastes, but there’s a difference between personal preferences and outright trashing something; that also gives it a bad reputation. Now I’ll play too :D

As you wanted to demonstrate, here we are at the game (childish, and often amusing if taken with a grain of salt) of "I am right and you are wrong" (especially seeing that my previous comment was shut down by two users), while in the end, we express our own opinions, and music is often to be considered as an art form whose pleasure is almost exclusively subjective, given that there are people who get emotional listening to the Rolling Stones, others who get moved by Pere Ubu or The Wall by Pink Floyd... but this album has never resonated with me, except to say that it’s a rhetorical and slick piece (completely different material from other concepts like Tommy and The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway), and rhythmically, it’s boring to me... that doesn’t mean I consider "aliens" those who like this album; I mean, one day I might enjoy it almost as much as you do, but currently, I’ve found better... FROM THE SAME PINKS (Ummagumma, Meddle, Saucerful Of Secrets, even the first one, although it doesn’t drive me crazy, is an extremely interesting work)... here, obviously, we’re playing the game of "I am God, you are an idiot," and it’s a game that always happens when people feel the urge to prove their superiority... well, here we go beyond opinions, but it’s entertaining XD

Provocative review, and indeed, very, very biased. Here we are talking about a somewhat overrated album, yes, but it is still an excellent work, thanks in part to Alan Parson, the sound technician, who had the idea to include the alarms at the beginning of Time and it is also from him that the idea of The Great Gig In The Sky originates. It’s a relaxing album, coherent, and has great atmospheres, even though I consider Money to be a useless and wasted song for this album, despite the good solo in the middle section.

I really liked the review... nice style, very fluid... the album, no. It's full of unnecessary and forced rhetoric, and as you say, there's rhythmic poverty... but the dramatic element is not spontaneous; it's a rhetorical album, and the music suffers because of it. The old Pink Floyd, even the post-Barrett ones, were something else.
