Honestly, I never understood the meaning of the cover. The album talks about the last living being on Earth, and there's a lady dressed in medieval style posing with four faces... the album... well, the voice drives me nuts, but it’s played like a god.

It was '69... that was the most unsettling thing. It predated a bunch of musical genres, and they would (perhaps) only manage to do better with the self-titled follow-up. After that, they would make other albums that were very similar, but by then too "copycat" of the previous ones, lacking that magic... in short, much colder albums.

THE ALBUM. Perfect from start to finish. Unmatched.

Reviewing an album like this on DeBaser is like suicide!!! Anyway, Shakira and Beyonce are sexier :)

Do you know the Jumbo? Well, if you thought the Jumbo were the first Italian bands to make similar music, you haven't heard this group yet. The themes here are perhaps more ironic, but still harsh and irreverent; the music, among other things, is beautiful... the Jumbo came AFTER, they were already ahead in '69!!! And then, they are from San Giorgio...

The opening line of the review (that of Ritchie) best captures what this album represents. Only "Soldier of Fortune" really stands out...

I only disagree with Nathalie's song, which isn't too bad but only catchy, and the one by Modà, not by EMMA, BUT BY MODÀ, because it's only theirs. Emma is just a means to easily reach the final, and this alone can lower the votes, given the despicable operation... but the song is decent. I agree with the other votes instead :)

I'm having a really hard time digesting it. Very, but veeeeery experimental... maybe too much! The first piece is the most "normal," while the rest is a rather crazy and experimental concept, too much for my taste.

The review is fantastic... the album is part of a phase where Area is a bit sluggish, but it’s still a great piece of work... they are still Area, after all.
