Progressive Metal is not synonymous with instrumental wankery...regarding Symphony X, you're partly right, the technical component is important...but you can't dismiss an entire genre and I'm talking about Progressive Metal, not Rock...you wander in futility without giving me sensible explanations, demonstrating the weakness of your arguments...

I’m an exhibitionist only when I’m banging your mother... the song structures are relatively linear but played with prog technique... a truly progressive band could be Pain of Salvation, who have nothing to do with Symphony X... but you were born in '91, Bonny, so it’s normal that you don’t get a damn thing... if you don’t like Symphony X, I get it; if you don’t like an entire musical genre, then I’ll dismember you...
