battery with the bass is the most difficult of Metallica (including justice) if you play it the way it should be played, and I’m not saying it’s unfeasible, it’s obvious that Metallica are easy to play on bass, it’s 80s thrash metal, what do you want, prog death? And I didn’t say they are difficult, I said they are creative, maybe too much for the genre and the time.

Don't take it so badly, of course I have my stuff, but everyone does, it's not an excuse to drink, and then the voice "distract me" means taking a moment to unplug from all the genital organ fractures of the week, and I'm NOT ALCOHOLIZED, DAMN IT :)

I don't believe it, but that's his problem; I mean, he claimed when asked if he used drugs that his only "drugs" were alcohol and weed, but I don't think he was an alcoholic.

They were probably all calm, but Chuck maybe couldn’t stand every little and inevitable flaw; he was a bit intolerant, but at least he was 100% honest. The only one who was always there for him was Steve DiGiorgio. He helped him with the first demos, played on Human, Individual, did all the pre-production (so most of the bass lines) for The Sound, and finally the two Control Denied albums. He left due to other commitments (and he had many).

But who the hell are you, some kind of health nut? I mean, seriously, why do you have to be so sarcastic and superior? Do you think not drinking (assuming you don’t drink) is a virtue, or makes you a better person? I drink because I enjoy it, because it’s fun, because it distracts me, and because I’m still young enough not to have to hold back. If I started drinking at 40, there’s no way in hell I’d be downing two bottles of amaro in one night. As long as I can, I’ll have fun, and if I kick the bucket at 55 after drinking, smoking, and having lardo-covered breakfast all my life, I’ll be just fine with that (hence the saying: better 50 years of pork than 100 of soy :))) heheheheheh).

From Chuck's texts, a good understanding of human bullshit emerges quite clearly, given that it’s well known that Chuck was rather "contentious" with those around him and who played with him. I thought he was this way precisely because he could recognize their bullshit so well.

No, at least if I did, I didn't notice it. Of course, I drink a lot and it's very alcoholic, but I seriously doubt I'm dependent, why?

it's not true, look at Master, Battery or even just Seek and Destroy, it's full of stuff, but apart from that, one: a good bassist is not recognized by the cool numbers he plays, two: Burton started a style, limited, narrow if you want, but entirely his own, he was a very particular musician, and a great bassist, yeah I have the bay area, hey but there was Ron McGovney on bass, what a mutt!!!

I definitely appreciate him (Faber) more because I'm not an English speaker and my culture is Italian. I think that for singer-songwriter music, the language and culture that come through the lyrics are fundamentally influential on enjoyment. Anyway, heresy my ass, it's a mistake to sanctify musical opinions :)

No "paladin" was an exaggeration to explain that you were playing the "heroic" and perseverant victim of non-metal fans, when it was enough to write better and the 4 would come even from Coltrane himself, as happens now.
