uhm................................ ..well...........................a little, they are much more "gay" though :D Jokes aside, they resemble each other very little, also because they come from completely different backgrounds...the Isis are geniuses but when it comes to sound experimentation, these guys win 10 to 0, both for their use of instruments, unjustly defined as "unconventional," and for the song structure that is constantly deconstructed and reinvented...then damn it, here we have the triumph of romanticism :(, there are pieces that are nostalgically/melancholically/terri bly romantic, without ever being too flamboyant like Sophia (oh well, I have it out for them) or Devandra...like, I don’t know, Isis have always given me the idea of something extremely compact, whereas here everything is more "frayed"; besides, it lasts 56 minutes for 5 songs, one of which is only 5 minutes long...do the math.

Not to be picky, but the Isis are definitely not unclassifiable... they are referred to as post-core! :D Like I don’t know, Breach or Callisto, or Burnt by the Sun or Burst or Keelhaul... all different but all can be grouped under the same tent... take a look at the aforementioned bands, the quality is not inferior to Isis... also keep an eye on Red Sparowes www.redsparowes.com or something like that... it’s a side project of members of Isis (not god Turner though) and Neurosis... there are a couple of songs to listen to on the site.
Anyway, the Isis are becoming too famous [stupid comment] now people who don’t understand a damn thing are starting to talk about them [/stupid comment].
This is not the case, obviously.

Come on, I'm just kidding... who cares! Anyway, yes... even when it starts with some acoustic guitar pieces... it's almost moving tatatatatatatata.

But above all, they were idiots to take Lopez instead of Nordin (who, by the way, is an excellent pianist in Silhouette) who here showed himself to be a cheerful double-crosser from another time, but above all a drummer with insane precision...

God park...damn, I was getting ready to write this review MYSELF! ;D...anyway, in my opinion, this is the best album by Opeth, the steaming seventies crap that comes after a couple of albums barely holds up to comparison. The first minutes of In The Mist She Was Standing are worthy of a standing ovation.
