LA RECENSIONE

Latest work by DGM, a lesser-known band from Rome, with 3 albums under their belt, and a 5th on the way before the end of the year.

For some, they are unsuccessful clones of Dream Theater, for others the rightful European response to the famous group. Obviously, the truth lies somewhere in the middle. They do not hide the influence of more well-known bands like the aforementioned DT, Symphony X, etc. This does not mean they are copies; in fact, they have their own personality, even if it is not yet clearly defined.

The songs are all of high quality. High-level technical skills always support wonderful melodic lines and rhythmic parts, not to mention the great vocal performances of Titta Tani (already the singer of Astra and drummer of Daemonia).
10 tracks that follow one another without boring the listener, in a great mix of explosive songs like "Save Me" and "Age of the Flame" and other sweet ones like the title track and the splendid "Invisible Rain" (which I personally find the best).

An album that does not aspire to rewrite the genre's standards, but that deserves more attention than it has received so far.

A reminder that good music doesn't always come from abroad.
