This record is youthful, primordial, and stunning.........

I prefer Nevermind but this is very beautiful... "Heart Shaped Box" above all.................... I would give this a 5 too (I've listened to Nirvana a lot between the ages of 12 and 16)....... but a 4 means great album..........

this is a great album, Nirvana are technically inferior to both Alice In Chains and Soundgarden, but Nirvana remain Nirvana, the drama of a weak man killed by the music business (and by his wife)..........I couldn't even tell you why Nirvana had more success than AIC, but tracks like "Smells.........," "Drain You," "Territorial Pissings," "Something In The Way," "Breed," and the more famous ones are outstanding.

I have to say it surpasses Nirvana's unplugged, which is already a great work... the Alice in Chains were amazing; it's a shame I only discovered them 2 months ago, even though I've already listened to everything... it's moving to see an exhausted Layne, almost as if he's in a parallel dimension... I don't have time for the rec.
