If I catch Ringo who convinced me to post this review... Thanks to Odra and Pacino for the generous comments. I’d like to add that I wrote it some time ago and only later did I read one of the rare interviews with Paddy, in which he candidly confessed that there was very little new material on the album in question. The tracks are all, or almost all, "luxury scraps," which, in my opinion, further demonstrate the value of the artist.

Already after the first listens, it entered my personal playlist 2005. Along with the Doves' album, it is one of the best of the year in its genre for me.

Pacino has already said it all. I just want to highlight an exciting live album by the artist I'm crazy about, "Live at Bottom Line."

I give you a 5 just for mentioning one of my favorite comedians: the surreal Maurizio Milani. When I first read "La donna quando non capisce s'innamora," I was laughing so hard I could barely breathe. Classic line: "Yes, I've always stolen from home and I've always felt good about it. I do it because I want to disappoint my parents who have never made me lack anything."

I wouldn't want to say something foolish, but I believe they are fellow citizens of the Beatles and the Turin Brakes.

Thank you for the response, but I certainly didn’t expect, far from it, that the review should please you. It’s just that I noticed an inconsistency, and you confirmed my impression, between the rating given and the judgment on the album, which will always be better than my review, and perhaps even better than some others by professionals who surely do a better job than I do. I also sometimes read superficially, but when that happens, I either don’t give a rating or I round up. But you can decide as you see fit: the beauty of DeBaser is exactly this.

Hi, Gabri, how are you? I was wondering whose legs those were. Don't tell me that... :0
P.S. It's not easy to find works by It's, but almost everything can be found in mp3.

What a heart-stopping moment to see the title of this album that I keep so carefully! It was one of those reviews I had set aside for the switch to standard time, when the days become melancholically short. The important thing, however, is that It's Immaterial sees the light on DeBaser. I believe other friends will appreciate it, especially Pacino and Sylvian.

It seems quite clear the reference: "Heart of Darkness" by Conrad or, for film enthusiasts, "Apocalypse Now" by Coppola. The literary metaphor is a bit forced, but not lacking in a certain allure. "The horror, the horror...."

I wasn't referring to you, in fact: we think alike. I thought my comment was clear. I wouldn't emphasize the "commercial and popular" too much, as those are quite slippery categories, because for me, it’s not the belonging to them that prevents the album in question from being among the memorable of the decade.
