Thank you for the attention to the latest commentators (last but not least...), especially to the enthusiastic Dave. I would already be happy if I could get just one new copy of the album sold (and I don't earn any royalties: it's odra, the lucky one, who met him). ;-)

If I didn't like them, I would completely refrain. You know that some of your stylistic choices don't convince me; we've talked about it, but my opinion counts just as much as everyone else's, and it's unnecessary to emphasize that. Let's say I avoid being unnecessarily punitive when there's a group, like in this case, that finds not only your choices, almost always on point, but also your appreciable spiritual-ascetic verve. I say this because I like you; otherwise, I could give you a solid 4 or 5, as it wouldn't cost anything. As for the review, I'll see what I can do (do you have any suggestions?), and to truly punish you, I'll dedicate it to you. ;-) Anyway, it wouldn't be a negative rating.

One of the best expressions of English techno-pop. Alison's voice is truly remarkable and gives the album a very good R&B warmth. Maybe it doesn't fully deserve a 4, but if I take into account all the times I've danced to "Don't Go," I have to be generous.

Despite the character generating a certain degree of aversion that is hard to escape (personally, I feel indifferent), it must be acknowledged that his solo artistic career is overall more than respectable, with the first three albums definitely being the best. I agree with many of the things that have been said by fosca and nick65. From the middle period, I prefer "Ten Summer's Tale."

Damn, how much I loved this album! A group of us in the fifth grade used to walk into class to Madness... ;-)

Of "Gharbzadegi," someone may remember a version by Marco Parente with La Crus in the tribute album "L'isola di Wyatt."

Thanks also to the second group of commentators led by our own Diderot. ;-) @Sylvian, I caught a glimpse of Badly's and it seems pretty good to me. But my judgment is biased by an unconditional admiration for him.

A post that started off wrong. What the hell does "heroin" have to do with it? "Heron," of course.
