Gabri, having you as a supporter is a privilege. I also know that if I were to write something you don't like, you wouldn't hesitate, albeit with your usual grace. This is equally important to me. The game is enjoyable when taken seriously, without ever going overboard, thus becoming ridiculously serious. :-)

Zion, I envy your productivity and the time you can dedicate to listening to music. For me, it's hard to keep up with all your tips. Just think, I’ve had cLOUDDEAD for a couple of weeks and I still have to check out everything that many of you say about them. The Dalek will have to wait.
Van Morrison Astral Weeks
Voto:
Van is absolutely among my favorites (I also like Them) and this album is one of the best of the '60s, therefore among the best ever. Jazz (with Connie Ray from the Modern Jazz Quartet on drums), folk, blues, rock masterfully blended. Kosmo, start here and a whole world might open up for you. ;-)

Zion, don’t be upset that at your age I still hadn’t read Kafka either. The reference was to the protagonist of "The Trial," Mr. K., the same abbreviation used by Hal for Kosmo. :-)
Excellent the "Trilogy" by Auster, bought after watching the film he scripted, "Smoke."
Forgive me, I won’t digress any further.

I too will follow K.'s advice, but let's not make it a "Trial." :-)

Zion, more than bread and sausages, is a "cynical" closure, understood as a post-Socratic philosophical school. Antisthenes, its founder, preached a life free from any familial or political bonds, outside all social conventions, similar to that of dogs (kyon is the dog in ancient Greek, hence perhaps the etymology). It seems to me that there is something related to our lifestyle in this. ;-))

I don't know the album, but it's always a pleasure to read your inspired reviews.
As a final line, I would perhaps have preferred: "What do we do now? Shall we explore?" :-)

Dear Zion, given the success, next time before posting a review like that, I will think twice. :-)

A concert that never happened is tied to a strong regret of mine. We already had the ticket for the concert in Cava de' Tirreni towards the end of the '80s, the period of "Fiesta" if I'm not mistaken, when Miles canceled it for health reasons. Unfortunately, I would never have the opportunity to see him live again. Sigh!
