Anyway, you brought an album of this caliber to debaser, so we shouldn't be too harsh.

Weight, measure, and quality, they say around here. It's the best of XTC for me alongside "Skylarking," but their entire discography is a treasure trove. I agree with fosca: perhaps more emphasis could have been placed on an album that is for me one of the best expressions of pop music, not just of the '80s. Who said that pop music is a product that sells easily?

"Overkill" best represents this other successful work.
Men At Work Business As Usual

Great album. "Who Can It Be Now" is a pop classic.
Frank Zappa Burnt Weeny Sandwich

Great, even though I don't know the work, guiltfully.

Nick Heyward is a skilled craftsman of '80s pop who sometimes shows surprisingly brilliant flashes. One can listen to his "North of a Miracle" to fully appreciate his qualities. "Love Plus One" is hard to forget for those in their forties. ;-) (3.5)

Let's say that I partially agree with Nildo, in the sense that it is indeed inferior to the excellent debut, but not by much for me. The first one is more immediate; this one requires a few more listens. I essentially share what was said by the new friend to whom I extend a warm welcome.

Thank you, too kind. I'm glad there's someone else in love with this album.
