Well done! Beautiful review with the Flashback-forward, very cinematic!
Garbage Bleed Like Me

More than anything, it is argued here that on this album the Garbage have repeated themselves once again, therefore a rating is given to the album in question. When the Garbage came out 10 years ago, they were a breath of fresh air because they brought innovation to pop with some of their solutions. I don’t consider myself a fan of Garbage, although I have their first three albums. I listened to this latest one attentively and I won’t be buying it for the reasons I’ve already outlined in the posts above. No hard feelings.

And then I'll tell you that I also like them... after all, as we know, on Ferragosto, we are all kinder.

I think those covers are the real deal, because why would they post fakes on the official website?

Speaking of serious matters, I wanted to point out that Computer Love has effectively been reinterpreted by ColdPlay on their new album. In the credits of the track, whose name I can't recall, Hutter and company are listed among the authors. An interesting Rock-Pop reinterpretation of a classic from Techno-Pop. The U2, on the other hand, have done a cover of Neon Lights! But it seems everyone really loves these Krapfen!

Great review for a great group, just like painting a big wall requires a big brush, or rather, a great brush! (Well?! Enea can quote Rexona and I can't bring out the boar brush?). ;D

I don't know, Alex, at this point the interpretations could be many.
I think I won't venture any more, since we'll never know the truth, unless we meet Martin Gore and ask him (but he would probably just confuse us).
In fact, I don't really care about the true meaning; I like the songs, I like the lyrics both for what they say and for how they sound. Whether Gore was thinking about Hitler or about a pint of lager with his friend Fletch while writing them is secondary to me.
Anyway, the research you're doing is interesting.
I didn't know what "der Pimpf" was, a very fitting title for the atmosphere of the piece.
Bye.

I too have only Gold und liebe, but der Mussolini is now a classic of EBM.
Great DAF!

I finally got to see the video of Precious that's circulating on the internet that Alex was talking about. It's a rough cut (but already edited) of the music video featuring footage of the three DM in a studio with a black backdrop, awaiting the final backgrounds. Additionally, the outdoor shots with a cruise ship and underwater environments are represented by pencil drawings from the original Storyboard, complete with comments from the director (Anton Corbijn?). The audio is an unfinished premix of the track, a very beautiful electronic ballad that reminds me of Enjoy the Silence in terms of sound and structure, showcasing some nice technological grooves and Martin's guitar. This teaser left a great impression on me, and the anticipation for the album is growing!

Alberobello breathtaking location (as well as UNESCO heritage)! I saw the Cousteau there this year and other concerts last year. Unfortunately, I had to miss the Television, damn it!
