Yes, but while still being trash TV, the Italian TV show was a resounding success, and even today everyone remembers it. Not only that, since there were so many actors and extras in the show, there are anecdotes and urban legends about what happened to them. One of these legends found on the internet tells that Mirko's voice actor, annoyed by the popularity of the actor/image, re-recorded "Freeway" under the nickname: "The Real Mirko" but no one cared. It’s not specified which of the two voice actors it pertains to (Enzo Draghi sang the songs of the BeeHive, Ivo De Palma dubbed the dialogues).
