The Libertines Up the Bracket!
Voto:
Well, have you heard this album or not? I mean, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, of course, but giving this album a low rating makes me suspect that it wasn't actually listened to. Yes, sure, Pete Doherty is an idiot who has nothing more to say; yes, he has been hyped excessively, but that doesn't take away from the fact that the first album by The Libertines is a good one.
Belle & Sebastian The Life Pursuit

I find this album much worse than dear catastrophe waitress, it’s definitely their worst, soulless. Really disappointing.
The Strokes First Impressions of Earth
Voto:
It's hard to believe how much absolutely terrible bands like The Strokes are praised. Let's be clear: the first album was a good pop record, and I emphasize pop. The second one was a carbon copy, and this one is frankly embarrassing. To work...
Franz Ferdinand You Could Have It So Much Better
Voto:
mediocre group. the first album had a couple of good tracks, this one sinks into total oblivion.
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
Voto:
Well, the more I listen to it, the more it seems mediocre to me. The voice is unbearable; I really can't take it anymore. The songs have such a minimal structure that, not being redeemed by being hypnotic drones, I would describe them at this point as flimsy.
Arctic Monkeys Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not

Well, I've always had a soft spot for English music, but it really seems to me that in recent years the music scene has become increasingly self-referential and incapable of going beyond the teenage market. For me, Radiohead, regardless of personal taste, have been the last mature band in every sense to come out of England. Since then, there has been a perverse regression, mainly in terms of ambition. These bands are spoiled and pampered children. They lack ambition and the desire, as well as the means, to work hard to achieve it.

I believe that with the Arctic Monkeys, English indie rock has hit rock bottom by bringing to the forefront a mediocre group that doesn't stand out for either technical skill or melodies. They have a bit of energy, but at twenty, I would expect that. Groups like this are playing by the millions across the face of the earth. They are offering new meanings to the term "derivative."

How come they seem like a tarocco of the libertines to me then? Well...
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
Voto:
They seem cute to me, but it seems like they’re exaggerating with the praises.
Orbital In Sides
Voto:
great rehash but really mediocre review since the saint isn't there and I wouldn't describe the album as ambient. my favorite by orbital is snivilisation.
