Good album, sure the songs don't stand out much except for a couple, but the sound is nice, it's a pleasant record that cradles, relaxes, and does good. I like them more now that they draw from an era (sixties) rather than a specific band like Belle & Sebastian. I mean, before, even though they made excellent stuff, I always had the doubt that they were the cover band of Belle and Sebastian.

here yes the patent office for musical inventions. great idea. at least this way we only listen to that handful, or rather five, who have really invented something (because to have really invented something it takes a lot, and I think you can't find more than five. so at least it thins out the CD collection)

Come on with these bitols. Anyone can criticize anything, of course, if someone likes experimental and less melodic music it's clear that the bitols won’t mean anything to them. The real problem is claiming that the bitols haven't influenced anyone when they've influenced at least half of white music. There you go, that's a fact, not an opinion. Then, one can legitimately say they suck, no doubt about it.

I don't know, that tracklist is a jumble of songs from different albums, maybe a best of. In that tracklist there’s also "without you im nothing," which is obviously from the self-titled album, and "you dont care about us" is from that one too.

Having listened to the album a bit, I would say the review is spot on; it gets the idea across. The band is fairly good but really not very original, and above all, the songs slip away without leaving much of an impression.
