Sometimes a bit snubbed, I like it. It had the courage to move away from the sound of its beginnings and venture into different genres, belonging to other musical traditions as well (jazz, blues, etc...). Great album.

Welcome back, dear. I really enjoyed the review: you write clearly, simply, and in an accessible way, and you always (subtly) reveal your passion for the subject. Perhaps the 4 stars for the album are excessive (there's more than one track that seems to go in circles, if I understand correctly), but it doesn't matter much, because as long as there are people like you, who write well and don't shy away from forays into the mainstream, DeBasio will remain alive. Truly well done.
