My solid 5 is absolutely ironic, simply because I belong to that generation of teen-poppers who, as Ringo recalls, was caught up between "Barbie Girl," "Ok Computer," the brawls between BSB and Five, and whatever else. This album reminds me of the time when I received "The Fat Of The Land" as one of my Christmas gifts, when I watched Yo! MTV Rapz and the videos for "Around The World" by Daft Punk and "Elektrobank" by the Chemical Brothers that changed my life (at least a little). Shouldn't I give it a perfect score? It's like discussing "Brothers In Arms" or Madonna and Prince for a 40-year-old, or Nirvana for a 30-year-old; only those who lived through that time can fully understand what is being talked about. A solid 5, no questions asked.

Great album, but there's no comparison to "Lamb" and "Fear Of Fours," two absolute masterpieces. The singles are nice, but overall I didn't really enjoy the softening of their sound, probably caused by the inevitable shift to Koch after the success of the first two albums. Better the frantic cut and paste! :-))

Thank you very much, folks, better few but good ones ;-) All of Les McCann's albums released by Atlantic are great, especially "Talk To The People," "Layers" (perhaps his absolute masterpiece), and "Another Beginning."
