Completely disagree, I prefer them much more now. I don't find "Any Minute Now" overrated at all, in fact, I consider it one of the best albums of 2004; at most, I think the debut album you're reviewing is excessively praised, too "dEUS Style" and derivative. But then again, it's a matter of taste ;-)

True Nobody, but I don't think he ever reached that level of fame brought to him by the first album again. Let's say he tried to keep going on his path while staying a bit in the shadows, unlike Kè who has completely disappeared from the scene. ;-)

I really like it, great electronic-ambient arrangements very New Wave and a departure from that total absence of rhythm which I find a bit boring and that characterized some of his previous works. Good! :-))

Detailed and somewhat lengthy review for an album I’m not familiar with. I listened to some samples online, and it definitely intrigues me more than "Desertshore." I’ll give it a listen at most. Great recommendation ;-)

Great album, I believe it’s the first noteworthy one from his extraordinary discography. "Never Dreamed You'd Leave in Summer" was even sampled by Common and Lauryn Hill ;-)
