It was 1995 when the airwaves were dominated by the first single from this album: "Strange World". It's an excellent song, which owes its success to the extremely catchy and easy chorus, to the splendid voice of the artist: Ké (born Kevin Grivois). And last but not least, to the stunning violin solo, which gives it an air of poignant melancholy. The album contains eleven other tracks that are not merely supporting the aforementioned single, but are pieces with a remarkable musical depth, truly fascinating.
The most original and unique characteristic is the way the artist uses his voice, almost caressing and brushing the notes of these twelve tracks. Just think of the second track "Someday", endowed with a sound that envelops Ké's voice (already very unique in itself), in an aura of soft mystery. Other noteworthy tracks include: "I Don't Wanna Go", "Don't Walk Away" the second single, "All You Ever Wanted" and the splendid "Holding On". As can be perceived from the title track's lyrics, at the conclusion of the album, the central themes of the work are: abandonment, loss, and the difficulty of personal identity. This is also evident from the cover: an identification document with a photo and fingerprints, but the spaces for personal details are blank. And as unmistakably suggested by the album’s title: I Am [ ]. He would return a few years later with the less brilliant: "Shiny".
