Yes, I understand, but honestly I can’t grasp the motivations behind this "other world." They seem to me like self-satisfied and convoluted style exercises that exist for their own sake, and if you rightly respond by saying that someone had the courage to do them, I retort that I simply don’t see the frantic need to produce music like that. It’s not a beep or a thirty-minute drone that makes me scream “beautiful” or “masterpiece”; often, a well-produced Pop album can be enough, like "Playing The Angel" by Depeche Mode ;-)

I see, you’re talking to me as if I had opened the Italian Vangelis Fan Club :D Jokes aside, I don’t disdain experimentalism and pushing boundaries (otherwise I wouldn’t have mentioned the aforementioned artists), but at these levels, I find them really boring and self-indulgent. Autechre, for example, experiment, but they never neglect the rhythmic-schizoid component that absolutely places them among my favorite artists. Here we are in half-hour beeps and drones, which I really struggle to digest ;-)
