The problem is that Silver Apples have always been associated with the psychedelic rock scene of the era, and they continue to be even today. I can imagine the warm welcome given by the fans of Blue Cheer (a nearly proto-Stoner band, pioneering in its own way) to two new Electro-producers from the '68 movement; it probably ended with at least a few bottles flying :-)
