@giorgio: I'm sorry for "stealing" your opening! :-) "Things Fall Apart" is also one of my favorite works of theirs, maybe even more unique than "Illadelph Halflife".. I remember back then when they constantly played the video for "You Got Me", deep almost as the music of the Roots themselves.. @Bisius: for Black Music, I don't think it refers only to Rap, but a good bit of stuff.. Weren't there bejeweled rappers in the '70s? However, they were already talking about Black Music, maybe it's better, sometimes, to reconsider one's positions and beliefs.. @Vi: "Game Theory" is even heavier and more pounding, so if you prefer the more "angry" side of ?uestlove and the crew you might enjoy the debut "Organix", which is more instinctual compared to the more polished works recorded for Geffen.. But I believe you'll also like everything else.. Saludos! :-)

Thank you all, from the heart.. The Roots are a band that must be seen live, they even played here in Naples, three years ago, at Piazza del Plebiscito, an unforgettable show.. I was lucky enough to see Rahzel live in Rome as well, irresistible, especially in the "Rahzel Vs. JS-1" section, where the New York DJ would play the beat, and he reproduced it in an incredibly identical way.. :-)

Without Back, probably, the modern conception of musical composition would not exist. I don't know all the details, but the vote is one of appreciation for the artist and his immense historical importance. Beautiful John.

Knowing Bad Company as a Drum'n'Bass/Breakstep group, that Rock/Pop/blues among the DeGeneri had pleasantly left me dazed.. Down with the homonymy! :-)
